Woodside
is located adjacent to Sunnyside, and was named after the wooded
area that it was made of. Woodside is both a commercial and residential area with large apartment
complexes and office buildings. Woodside provides an ideal commuting
location with easy access to almost all New York transportation. Woodside's
main shopping district is located on the Roosevelt Avenue and Northern
Boulevard where a variety of shops and restaurants can be found.

Woodside was originally settled by Irish settlers. Today, this area is home to many European immigrants but most recently, has
seen an influx from Korean, Chinese, Columbian, and other Latin American
countries.

Most commuting is done via the New York City Subway, by the "7,G,R,V"
train. The "7" train can have you in Midtown in 30 minutes, and
in Downtown in
