Glendale Overview
Glendale, Queens was named after the main developers home town in Ohio.  Glendale began to prosper when New York City banned future cemeteries in Manhattan.  Glendale and some neighboring community became the area which they were located, or better known as the Cemetery Belt.  Glendale began to flourish when a developer had plans to build homes on 469 lots in the area, with hopes that city dwellers would move east.

Glendale Residents & Culture
Glendale was originally inhabited by Dutch settlers, and shortly after saw influx of German farmers. Today, Glendale is home to many immigrants from Eastern Europe, China, and the Dominican Republic.

Glendale mostly consist of  one and two-family homes.  General rents in this area includes studio from $650-$800, one bedroom from $750-$1000, and two bedrooms from $1100-$1400.            

Glendale Transportation & Commuting
A short drive away you can catch the New York City Subway's "M" train on Metropolitan Ave, catching this train should have you in Midtown in 45 minutes and Downtown in 55 minutes.
