Albans Overview
St.
Albans, Queens was named after an English town, which
was named in memory of England's first Christian
martyr. In the early days St. Albans was known
for its golf course which brought famous people to
play. During the depression the course was sold
and transformed in to a naval hospital which later
became the well known St Albans VA Extend Care facility.
The major shopping district in St. Albans is located
on Linden Street.

came the English settlers. Today, St Albans
is a middle class community, which is home to many nationalities,
