Lincoln Center Overview
Lincoln Center is a very small community within the Upper West Side of New York City that spans the 60's from the Hudson River to Central Park. This area is just north of the artistic culture of Times Square and home to its very own "Lincoln Center", the world's largest performing arts complex - which sits on 15 acres of prime New York real estate.
Lincoln Center houses such great events and performances as the: New York City Ballet, New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Mostly Mozart Festival, and much more.
Lincoln Center is a safe and great area to live. It is filled with posh citizens and an aristocratic culture unlike anywhere else in New York. Like all areas on the West Side this area is easily commutable to Midtown and Downtown. Lincoln Center also has the added benefit of being steps away from Central Park. However, the drawback of this area is the cost of living - rents, food and entertainment can be very pricey here.
